Originally opened as the Alcron Hotel in 1932, the luxurious and elegant five star Radisson SAS Alcron Hotel commands the same enviable reputation as its predecessor of being the most sought-after hotel in Prague. Our hotel pays homage to the lively jazz age during which time the original Alcron Hotel was popular as a jazz hotel by hosting live jazz sessions almost every night. The Radisson SAS Alcron Hotel is one of few European hotels to receive the highly prestigious Five Star Diamond Award consecutively from 2003 to 2006 from the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences. The hotel arranges transportation including a 24-hour limousine service. Please contact the hotel concierge about sports activities such as tennis, golf and swimming or guided excursions within and around Prague. We also have an executive lounge which provides refreshments and full business facilities. It is accessible to Royal Club and Suites guests.

Our hotel houses 211 exceptionally comfortable and inviting rooms and suites with high ceilings and classic period furnishings. Guests can choose from either our elegantly designed single and double rooms, or select one of the several luxurious suites. The Art Deco rooms have been preserved and still house glittering chandeliers, rich Italian marble and creamy milk glass.

La Rotonde, our hotel’s elegant 130 seat Art Deco restaurant, serves a delectable choice of international cuisine and traditional local dishes. It also features an elegant outdoor terrace for the summer months. The Czech gourmet guide, Grand Restaurant 2007, recently listed the La Rotonde as third place among the “Top 20 Best Restaurants” within the country, awarding it first place in the “Best Service” category. In the Alcron Restaurant, intimately seating only 24 people, guests can select from a menu featuring fish, seafood and French entrées prepared with creativity and flair by one of the best chefs in Prague: Jiří Štift. The Alcron restaurant was listed second place in the 2007 Czech gourmet guide Grand Restaurant. Our hotel’s chic Be Bop Bar is a popular meeting place serving snacks and drinks. In addition to a wide selection of cocktails, the Be Bop Bar offers local beer, wine and a tempting bar menu everyday, as well as frequent special promotions. The menu also features the “Alcronies”, favourite cocktails that date back to 1932 when the hotel first opened. Live jazz played by local musicians sets the tone for a festive atmosphere.

By Train: The main railway station is a mere two metro stops from the hotel. The nearest metro station is a five minute walk from the hotel. By Air: Prague Ruzyně Airport is approximately 15 km from the hotel. A taxi ride takes approximately 25 minutes or 30 minutes by public transport. By Bus: Florenc, the bus station, is just 3 metro stops from the hotel or a 20 minute walk. By Car: - The hotel is located downtown, just off the famous Wenceslas Square. - Motorists can use two highways to get into the city, either the D1 from the east or the E50 from the west.
